My name is Jonas Sörensson and I am a self-taught artist from Malmö in southern Sweden. My artistic career began when I decided to paint pictures for my new home. It went well and was appreciated and eventually I was persuaded by family and friends to also exhibit my paintings.
Facing an audience for the first time was not only amazing, no, on the contrary, it was actually terrifying. My belief in myself wavered. Would anyone even come and look at my paintings? What would people think? And would I sell anything at all?
But wow. The exhibition was a success and I sold a total of 33 artworks in 3 days. After that, my artistry has continued to develop and I love every moment when I get to live out my creativity.
